My Bella, a male Australian Parakeet with recessive traits, know as a "fallow" breed of Parakeet. He's larger than the indigenous green Parakeet. Bella is one of two Parakeets & are not caged, though they have a "nest" (a large cage) they can retreat into whenever they like, which is usually for sleep or when they get cold. Parakeets have a body temperature of approximately 102 degrees... They should not be sold outside of their natural habitat, however, I didn't realize this when I brought them home & couldn't possible give them up now - I am their servant & I am honored to be loved by such creatures.
