Artist's Description

I took a photo of a blossoming Red Bud tree. I took a photo of lights out of focus. I combined the two photographs, then abstracted the background using different editing programs. I decided to post this muted version on Fine Art instead of the usual vibrantly colored pieces I usually post. I find myself shifting toward muted colors that meld into each other. Almost inevitably my pieces become bold, vibrant colors & sometimes overly saturated. Always learning!

I like working with wildlife, water reflections, light & color the best - enjoying the art of processing immensely. I love abstract art. I use the camera, oil, water & acrylic paints - to capture the foundation of the piece. Education & Experience: I graduated from Washburn University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative & Performing Arts with emphasis in English Literature & Dance.
