The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. April 26, 2021 Full Moon. I used the Nikon D5200 (my toy) with a Nikkor 70-200 lens. The camera isn't full frame, but it's a super easy camera to use, almost point & shoot, because it allows me to actually enjoy the experience, rather than "focus" on the equipment. The lens is full frame, so I have to keep that crop factor in mind when shooting. Honestly, when you abstract a piece, it doesn't really matter what equipment one uses.
