Description
A large flock of Cedar Waxwings passing through northeastern Kansas during early spring. Not common to any part of Kansas, probably passing down from Canada through to Mexico & the southern US for the summer with a lay over in my backyard for a few days feasting on berries in the woods behind the house. I've seen them a few times the past few years but never in large flocks. There were at least 25 just above my head sitting on a tree branch waiting for me to go inside so they could bath & drink from the birdbath in my backyard. They are beautiful!
